Vice President, Controls Division
John directs Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical’s building control systems designers, programmers, project managers, and installation team to ensure that from conception to completion, the company’s extensive resources are focused on providing clients with building automation systems (BAS) that meet their needs today and well into the future. Through his expert oversight of all operations within the control division, including estimating, scheduling, project execution, and management, he consistently demonstrates that clients can count on Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical to complete even the most demanding projects to their complete satisfaction.
Building Automation and Control Systems Expertise
John has 29 years of experience in all facets of direct digital control (DDC) and card access systems. He is particularly skilled at building automation system (BAS) integration and open system solutions, including, Niagara R2/AX, LonWorks, BACnet, ModBus, and others. Wide-ranging experience in estimating, system design, programming, project management, and customer relations gives him the background needed to lead a team adept at delivering timely, turnkey solutions to clients’ most complex challenges.
The Personal Side
John and his wife have two married daughters and four grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with the grandkids, fishing, swimming, and snowmobiling. A firefighter with his local volunteer fire department, he also serves his community as an EMT.
